In following Townsend's list for noStart22, I discovered a blown-fuse for the key-on signal (22) in the fuse panel.
Replacing that restored the customary relay-clicks. However, the car still wouldn't start.
Continuing down the Townsend list, I hooked up some meter leads to test for voltage across an injector line. As I got ready to crank the engine over, I looked down in my passenger front space and wondered if the LH Control unit is supposed to be grounded (I had disconnected the box from its bracket to give me some room to work and it was floating on the carpet). So I hooked up a temporary ground connection to the unit box and when I went to turn the key, my "check engine" dash light flashed. It normally doesn't do this. And the car then started.
Is the LH Box supposed to be grounded in order to operate?
I don't feel like I've pinned the no-start problem down yet, so more "ready for action" driving, I guess.
