To continue what Anders mentioned, you can get the bearing and sleeve from the dealer. Not hard at all to replace, but you do have to pull the wheel, undo the steering shaft crimp bolt, undo the in-cabin u-joint and slide the shaft off the u-joint. Then you can tap the shaft from the footwell area to dislodge the bearing at the steering wheel end. Even easier if you pull the drivers seat and if its not -10F outside.
My steering wheel now has no up/down/side/side play. And since you've done the clockspring you can probably identify its crunching from that of the bearing.
