Ok I have read all the post I can find on stiff power steering. I will start with my org. problem. My steering was stiff when turned to the left and would let loose (power steering would feel like it returned). It would happen on the way back to center also.
I changed the ps fluid completly and that seemed to fix all my woes for a day or two. I also added some Lucus stop leak/lube to the system as well.
Ok know to what it is doing currently. It is an intermeidate problem. It will get stiff all over. Not bad enough to pull off the road and someone who did not drive the car everyday would not even notice it I don't think. They might think it is just an old Saab and harder to steer than most. It seems to also do it more when it is dark and cold outside or first thing in the morning. It does not stop as the engine warms the only remedy seems to let it sit for a while and let the day warm up.
I know this sounds odd. Please ask me anymore questions needed to help me diagnose the problems

Thanks
