Justin, would that work on an 87' 900t? I'm still (when time permits) debugging a poor warm up condition w/exh. as bad as tear gas (gasp, cough, cry, wheeze!). AMM/TPS/FPR/NTC? I've re-set the AMM to 380 ohms, the TPS full throttle contact is non-op, haven't checked the FPR (no gauge) & the NTC sensor is fairly close so spec. The O2 sensor is swinging normally...but only when I hold the throttle shut - otherwise the idle sits at 1200 rpm. The car has copious amounts "Aeroesque" thrust at 3000 + rpms :) but stumbles when starting off. Help v.much appreciated.

Bradley, sorry to muscle in on your post...but perhaps we have similar problems. For basics, as prev. mentioned, check the distributer cap & add some fresh gas - at least 5 gallons, 10g would be better...maybe even some fuel stabilizer or Lucas gas treatment too. Actually, before doing anything - you should pick up a Bentley manual...then...Check the boost bypass valve by sucking on the vac hose...if you draw air, it's blown & could cause stalling. Check for loose or damaged hoses at the throttle body, valve cover & everywhere else. Have a look at the AMM - see if the heated filament is intact, then pull the air filter out...if dirty, try starting with it removed. You could also buy a new (or used) ignition ctrl. unit & swap it in. Even if the existing one turns out to be fine...that's a good item to have as a spare.
Congrats on the find - but I'd want documentation on the tranny rebuild...some 'rebuilds' really aren't & the price you're paying for that car is half what a properly rebuilt & installed gearbox would have cost. FYI!!!!!
