changing to a hotter plug does NOT allow more current to flow in the spark. The spark current is purely a function of coil amperage and spark gap....has nothing to do with the plug heat range.
The heat rating of the plug is based on heat flow from the plug to the head. Hotter plugs have a longer path therefore they run hotter....colder plugs have shorter paths, generally shorter insulators to the plug body. Therefore they run cooler.
