Did a 5 speed conversion on my 93 900 convertible, also swapped out engine, but the electric gremlins driving me nuts. First of all couldn't get it to start, towed to indy for electrical work. Apparently this indy isn't really greta with this stuff, charged $1100 for 13 hours labor. When I asked what exactly was wrong, he said he didn't know. Well, now it's running great with some more electrical exceptions. Cooling fans don't come on. Tried jumping at the coolant temp sensor, nothing. It's getting voltage at the relay, swapped in a known good relay, still nothing when jumping the temp sensor wires. Fan worked fine before the swap.
Also AC system is not working, comressor not kicking on. I had fixed the whole system prior to the swap. New condensor & hoses, new drier & fresh charge, now compressor won't kick on, even jumped the low-pressure switch, and nothing happened. Again this was fine before the swap.
Also seems like battery gose dead too much. I fixed a bad ground at the alternator, voltage reads 13.65 accross battery when running.
Ari? Are you out there? Want to visit NJ?
Tomorrow I'll try running power direct to fan to see if it works. Neither fan kicks on, as theAC system sin't working either.
