AMMs can die in a bunch of ways. Basically, it determines how much air is coming in, and the ECU schedules fuel. One sign of a bad AMM is that the engine seems to ignore your pedal inputs unless you really boot it. So you add gas pedal, and the engine sags. That's because you're opening the throttle, letting in more air. The AMM doesn't respond, so the engine leans way out. The O2 sensor can make up some, but not much - it controls much less fuel than the AMM. The engine eventually speeds up and the mixture is OK. Then you back off the gas, and you run overrich.
It is unlikely to be the O2 sensor. A bad O2 won't cause stalling - it just doesn't control that much fuel. I'd pull spark plugs and look - do they look like you're running lean or rich? It could be a leaky FPR if you're running rich. Running lean - clogged fuel filter? I know the FPR was just replaced, but that doesn't make it immune from failure.
I would re-inspect all hoses - a bad vacuum leak could do it. And if you can get your hands on the right AMM, I'd try and swap it out.
