Corroded/sloppy connection or bad relay somewhere?

Weird one. A bad connection, whether due to corrosion or just bad contact (loss of spring tension, screw terminal not tight, etc.) can do this. You get a little current flowing and it can break a path through the corrosion or contact surface layer and give you a better contact. Fuse sockets, relay sockets, wire connectors, switches could all be suspect. I'd start tracing through with a voltmeter or (battery disconnected first!) ohmmeter to localize it as much as I could.

It's also remotely conceivable that something's loading your battery way down although I would expect smoke, flames, and/or exploding battery if that were the case. Does your battery voltage drop way down when you turn the key? I'm guessing it doesn't, which points to a bad connection.
