last time i was talking with a alignment technician while he was aligning my car 88spg, he looked at me and said `i cant believe this` and proceeded to say that saab made the car with a huge offset in the wheel or the rim location (its ben so long i forget), and cant believe he was actually seeing it.
now im not an aliment tec. but all that sounded like to me was the car relies on the full circumference of the tire, and i suppose with the anti roll bars added it relies on the build of the side wall of the tire.
opposed to the 900`s that do not equip the anti-roll bars that call for h rated tire.
its true the v and h are the rate of speed the tire can handle
but it also means the v will have a sterner side wall,
if equipping the h to save the buxs, just know the offset on the saab i guess difference is so huge compared to the average day car that dose not depend so much on how the side wall of the tire is built, and this would be the reason sears took no thought in how the h would not affect the hand-ability.
the only reason i remember this is because how much of a big deal this tec. made of it.
just remember when buying tires to shop around,
i had the site sponsors `the tire rack` ship me a set of four perillies with w rated for 115 per tire, and 50$ shipping, took them to sears and had them mounted and balanced for 96 buxs.
dang near the same price it would of cost me for a set of four h rated tires.
the tire rack has ben the only store i go to when i need tires
im very impressed on how they do business
check them out next time you need a new pair of shoes for the saab.
