Ken - its not the Autobox Posted by Notnoel [Email] (#23) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Notnoel) on Thu, 28 Jun 2007 14:26:48 In Reply to: Re: You're both right, kenjrbanga, Wed, 27 Jun 2007 08:05:56 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've got a 1990 900T vert autobox and I boost easily half way into the red, hitting about 1 bar (14-15 psi) on my calibrated boost gauge. Before I added the modified Talon intercooler, I was maxing out at about .8-.9 bar (12-14 psi) on a TweakmyAPC modded box, a 3.0 bar FPR, and timing advanced to 20 degrees BTDC, using my own DIY spring-loaded vacuum advance capsule to achieve a better timing curve. You can follow my mods by tracking my posts on the performance board if you like.
You should be able to at least touch red based on tweaking the pots and adding a 3.0 FPR, getting it to stay there requires more work.
