I got seats from a 89 spg and installed them on my 85 spg. What I did might work for you. I had a plate cut that covered the the bottom of seats, drilled holes for original anchors, then screwed plate in to car, I then drilled out new holes for wider seat rails of 89 seats and bolted them down. I added weight with the plates but like the solid feel I got from them, 100% improvement from old seats. Good luck
