even if its tore up from the floor up you bet its worth Posted by vvack0matic [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: How vital is SIS badge?, Vapser, Tue, 24 Jul 2007 14:55:59 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
every penny.
for it being an 88 that's the absolute perfect year, it being just before the ani-lock brakes came out and just before that darn air bag.
its a diy`ers dream (do it yourselves)
to work on.
no need to worry about the anit system going out or throwing ani-brake check lights because you wanted to paint the brake or change the pad. that goes for if you decide to pull the dash to put a gem in.
with air bag in the steering wheel it makes it awful hard to get the dash out, id say almost impossible seeing the steering wheel has got to stay attached.
an 88 sis bad top, ugly pain (must be black to be a sis)
and bad tires..... 3,500
but every spot of rust you find take off a hundred.
looking under the undercarriage if its loaded down with rust.
I'm sorry to say the previous owner did not take care of it and its nothing more than spare parts now.
first thing i would do with it is strip the badges, who needs a sticker
you know what..... not sure if it will be there but if it is this will confirm its a sis, but if its not there don't be alarmed.
flip the driver side visor down, check if it says anywhere (this car will be equipped with v rated tires)
it being a sis it should be packing anti-roll bars, but seeing I'm not to sure on sis`s they may not be if they are that means the car need v rated.
but just to recap, seeing its been sometime since i saw a sis (and didn't check) they may not be packing anti-roll bars not needing the v rated.
