900s 5-speed in an SPG??

I have a 1988 Saab 900 SPG that has a very bad transmission issue. When I let out the clutch in neutral, it knocks and bangs VERY loudly. When the clutch is in, there is no noise. When I try to move the car, either forward or backward, I slowly let out the clutch, and the car begins to move. It usually only makes it a 3-4 feet before something in the transmission binds up, and makes the car stop instantly. Slipping the clutch lets me at least move the car around my garage, but something is very bad.

I have a 5-speed from a 1990 900S, non-turbo. I have read that any 900 transmission will bolt up and work, but I have heard that the turbo, and non-turbo 900 transmissions are different. The non-turbos are weaker, and have different gearing?

I do not drive my vehicles hard at all, I just drive them to get from point A to point B. Will I be okay with this non-turbo transmission, and will the different gear ratios really not be a good match for the SPG motor??

Is there anything else I will need if I used the non-turbo transmission? Will my stock SPG CV shafts work? Thanks!!!!
