The difference between the turbo and NA is the turbo tranny has an extra bearing in the primary case- it extends from the front of the lower sprocket on the primary chain drive. So it is stronger, but the NA 900S tranny will bolt up. I suspect that if you don't drive it too hard you will never see the difference.
If the 3rd digit in the model number (5 digit # on top of front of tranny) for the two trannies is the same, the gearing will be also. If it is a 7 it will have higher primary gearing (lower engine speed for the same given road speed) than one with a 6.
