fuel pump and injection fuses, and fill with 5-10 gallons gas in case this is a bad pre-pump (I think 1989 still had the pre-pump setup).
Before you do anything, check the battery wires and the hot lead to the starter. Then check the plugs. Ignition switches also sometimes fail. Starter may be stuck, so if it is a manual see of she push starts, or hit the starter with a 2 or 5 pound persuader to see if that helps.
I am cheaper than Vvack. Offer 500 or even 400. Remember, he currently owns a paperweight. I bet he knows what is wrong, so be careful and don't trust anyone. At the same time, 1989 is a great year. No ABS, wheel spacing that is the same as the 9000, and I happen to like the LH2.2 is easier for me to understand.
