I tried putting the PP in first, but there just isn't enough clearance to fit the slave + release bearing in after the fact...
Dave, it will all go smoothly with the right size clutch "tool" - should be at least 0.155" diameter.
No comment on the gouged slave surfaces - Not an area in which I have any experience.
