I have tried two different 3.0bar FPRs - actually, maybe three. I can't remember if I tried my spare one or not, but I tried the one that's been driving my 5-door for six years and the same issue.
I did check and clean every engine bay ground. I thought perhaps the issue might be the battery or the alternator not charging well, but the voltmeter I just installed is rock solid at 13.8v. I'm even powering it through the same wiring as the stereo head unit, so I expected to see some loss vs. the battery, but no, it's great.
I'm in a constant state of wondering whether it's some sort of actual engine problem - the bottom end, or a crappy headgasket job. But, I lose no fluids, and once it's past that 0-3psi point it makes great power. I killed my compression tester somehow, so I can't test it, but I figure I'd be seeing some sort of blow-by or bad mileage or contaminated fluids or something.
I hate this car! It's been a curse since day one. Well, out of like 30 900s I've now had two Evil ones... that's not too bad I guess. :) I think I'm getting a 9000 next.
