2 of my 3 saabs had such a noise and in both cases it was cause of dirt inside that valve. It's easy to take to pieces and assemble back. As for extra doors lock switch - sorry, I'm not good enough at US editions of C900. I think it's easy to add just a simple switch like one used in powered windows circuit - just put it in parallel with actuator's sensor in the driver's door.
