Thanks for helping try to narrow things down-
I didnt understand what a "sticky" ignition meant when I came across it, now I do, thanks.
Although I would describe the action of my ignition as slightly "sticky", I believe the effects of its gunkiness are superficial only, as I do not experience any of the symptoms that you describe- no odors, sustained lights, or unusual noises. It does not seem like the starter is staying engaged any longer than normal or needed...
However, I am still not ruling it out- I mean, is it possible to just get *two* starters in a row with bad bendix? I suppose it is possible, with my luck... and using "re-manufactured" starters...?
thanks for the help!
