Not sure I understand. You're getting oil - I'm presuming you mean flowing oil - at the sender, you're getting oil at the head , where (and how) are you measuring the pressure?
The pressure switch can go bad, and not properly "open" when pressure is applied, so that's one thing to check. SOunds like you had the motor out, so are you sure the right wire is connected to the sender? It's VERY easy to swap the D+ lead to the alternator with the lead to the pressure switch. It doesn't help that one is blue/white and the other green/white...
Of course, if you've got a gauge, there may be something else going on.
