if the old light is trash anyway.... I do this.
make a blanket of four or five towels, put light face down on stack of towels, use a pry bar or long screw driver or motorcycle tire irons (my fav) and situate so as to lever the metal bolt with the ball end away from the white snap in. btw the black and white snap in unscrews so save them or move them over to the next set.
to reinstall I do this.
I put waterless hand cleaner (goop is the brand I like, no grit in it) dab on each plastic bit, new light still face down on the towels, position the bucket with all of the bits correctly, then then I use a firm but not too hard rap with with a rubber mallet, do all three that way snaps right in.
