but I knew the properties of synthetics, and that is why I haven't put it in any of my old engines. I think it is not cost effective to put it in just to have the plus's when I'd have to deal with minuses, which could be replacing the seals. I have an automatic, and replacing the rear main seal would require pulling the engine ,tranny and torque convertor. I am interested in synthetics, and am curious as to how it performs in real world conditions.
I have had good experiences with synthetic oil in my 99T's 4-speed tranny. Redline MTL worked well; shifting was much smoother, especially when cold.
Going off subject, Diskullman, does Amsoil have a synthetic ATF, and if so, what are its reputed benefits?
