At this point I think it's drill and use a stud remover kit. You can get them as Sears, take a sample, perhaps the third bolt/torx that came out ok? Something I learned watching the machinist remove the two broken studs from a head a couple of years ago, he put a punch on the bit of the stud were it sheared and hit it several times with a heavy hammer, basically driving it back further into the block (not really, it shocked the threads). I guess it breaks the rust or whatever loose, somewhat, and makes it come out easier. he used an air drill, drilled holes into the stud free hand (aka not using a drill press) and then put the easy-out/stud remover in and turned it out. A COUPLE OF BIG CAUTIONS HERE. Those babies are extremely hard and brittle... break it off in the stud and you are on 100x the problems. I like to drill the stud, then put Justin's favorite PB Blaster on it and come back the next day if you can. Weekend is just around the corner! when you put the EZ-out in and turn it (this will be leftie to turn it in as it's reverse thread but the stud should be coming out...) , it should start moving pretty quickly or you should STOP and drill the next larger size if possible. Do NOT break that sucker off!
After it's all done you can get a tap and clean the threads out a bit to make them happy. I substituted hex head bolts for the Torx as I had rounded one of the Torx last time, a hammer and a chisel was needed to create a purchase point to get some leverage to get that baby to turn. four hours of adding new words to my vocabulary!
as to the ground strap, any point on the alternator is actually ground. there is a bolt up on the side you can use, we all go and get ground straps and go from that point to somewhere else, I have used both one of the bolts on the oil filter adapter (it has three) and the other favorite is one of the bolts on the bracket from the end of the start to the block - that one is out of the way a bunch, but find your favorite spot.
good luck!
