Brain, Sorry I wasn't clearer on the use of the turkey baster. What I meant was to remove as much of the old brake fluid so there's less old fluid to drain out of the system. You could still have a small leak at the slave cylinder or master that doesn't show much fluid lost. This worked on my 9000 very well but, I think the cars brake fluid had never been changed since the car was new - 1987. The power bleeder are around $50.00 and screw onto the reservoir. With this unit you just fill it with a quart of Dot.4 brake fluid and pump the unit up to 15 LB. P.S.I and open each bleeder screw one at a time until fresh fluid comes out. If you car "doesn't" have ABS braking system then you could just replace only the small amount of fluid just to the clutch. Sorry to hear that the clutch and slave weren't replaced when the transmission was replaced. I bought one of these bleeders since I have five cars that I can use it on. Change the brake fluid help with the longentivity off the brake system. Moister is what ruins the brake system. I'm just trying to get you to try this first' since it a cheaper test before you have to spend a larger amount of money on this problem. I didn't know about the age of the present fluid in your system. If you have to spend more on your car you still won't have a car payment. Good Luck with this!
