as you can see! i actually pulled the head first, hoping to replace it and hg just to do exactly that-drive it and diagnose anything else. it has 175k on it. fortunately the general stuff-cv boots, brake lines, steering rack, etc all seem to be really good. it has had a recent exhaust and tires also. so i am just going to have to bash ahead with the conversion, and keep my fingers crossed. but, in any case, i have the 'lump' pulling sorted now, and can pull it in a little over 1 1/2 hrs, so if i do need to go back in there, it won't be too much of a pain. i'm not even going to wash it until the new lump is in there.
my parts car is a 92t, and it had a recent clutch, plus i actually installed it myself about 18mths ago, so that will keep things a little easier.
The black 'vert with black roof and the spg skirts and wheels is such a good look, and is going to look very happy along side the spg...
i gave $800 for it, BTW
