a good quality tool set. avoid the cheap chinese/taiwan tools for your basic set-up as you will break/round off wrenches and frustrate yourself.
sears had/has usa made tools, although they are starting to replace them with cheaper steel. you will need a metric set, an assortment of torx screwdrivers, and metric allen wrenches. a digital multimeter would also be useful. a good quality torque wrench would be another must have thing. don't forget a 24" breaker bar and a trouble/shop light.
you will be happier in the long run to invest in good tools instead of trying to save money there. most of the things you can use on other cars/trucks as well.
mark :-)
