I've used Cadwell's electroless nickel plating with great success. I haven't tried the copy cad but based on the results of their nickel I'd bet the results would be good.
I know this isn't a concours car option, but I've also used Eastwood's "Golden Cad System" paint. It's a pretty good fake once you get the technique down. For underhood parts that need heat tolerance I use both a silver and gold engine paint and mist the part with both at the same time. It gives a pretty good silver/gold base color that you then use Eastwood's transparent green and red colors from the kit to do the cad-plating effect. I've done FPRs and stuff with it.
I will admit though, until you develop the right technique, it's only mildly convincing.
