could 1mm be the wall thickness?
On my VW (aircooled LH Jetronic) with the CSV they use German OEM fuel line rubber hose - which is also 5mm but these are fitted with the proper screw type clamps (not worm style clamps that gouge into the rubber).
Goodyear makes a good substitute of reinforced FI hose that is good to 80psi I believe. You could use a sleeve of this over the nylon tubing and onto the CSV held in place at each end by two proper FI clamps. However you would need to be absolutely positive about the FI hose's pressure ratings as the CIS runs at higher pressure.
