Frank! The fitting is the banjo nut at the end of the fuel rail. You replace the nut/bolt and attach the new tap fitting. The gauge then attaches to it and it's left on the car. Once installed, you can check the fuel pressure system anytime. The gauge really takes the guess work out of testing fuel delivery, FPR, Check valve, Leaky injectors, leak-down testing and fuel pump full pressure. The gauge also has a pressure release hose to release any built-up pressure after testing, so you can dump the test amount of fuel into a separate container before doing another test or just releasing the hose from the fitting. No nasty gasoline spray!
