You can stall the car out, disconnect the ignition control unit, unplug the distributor Hall-Effect connector, remove the fuel pump fuse, or unplug either the fuel injection system or pump relay. On an LH 2.4 car unplugging the air mass meter or idle control valve will generally kill it. You can generally also induce a major vacuum leak or block off the air filter inlet with your hand, or pinch off the hose from the idle control valve to the intake manifold. Lots of ways to kill the car. I'd just stall it out. Disconnecting the battery with the car running could cause what amounts to a voltage spike which could damage or kill the alternator, or lots of expensive electronics.
