The propeller loosened up after lunch. I guess the oil inside worked itself into the caked up grime while I was enjoying my lunch.
Used the Bolt & Socket method suggested by Landjet to pull out the input shaft, very elegant. The shaft came out smoothly and surprise! it is totally clean! There is no trace of grease at all, just some nice clean oil. Did somebody forget to apply grease? or does it need grease?
On the spacer tool, did see it on eEuro's for $9.90; but I like Cmyles' #6 copper wire better, $1.
It was getting dark, tomorrow.
By the way, the socket I used to pull out the input shaft was a 23mm, my biggest. It was a tab on the small side. The shaft spline and the socket faces formed a bit of bind. Not too bad, just took some wiggling to get the socket off. So, it needs to be 24mm or larger.
To be continued.
