Thanks Cmyles,
The drive plate holes, and Tc holes are aligned. I can easily reinstall the bolts.
I haven't seperated an engine and auto tranny in over ten years, and totally forgot about pushing the converter back.
The stupid Haynes and Saab manuals simply advise to set the brackets horizontal and pull up the engine!
I did that, and started to lift the engine with the TC still connected. The engine seperated about a 1/4 inch at the rear, and then I went to the front attempting to pry the TC back..
Frustrated; I then thought of posting here first, for advice.
Cmyles, what ought to be done now? Despite the engien is down, the TC can not be pushed back into the tranny. What of those brackets when pulling up?
Thanks Cmyles
