If you have the original Saab-Clarion radio, once you have the head out, there is a "basket" or "cage" that is left behind in the dash. THis is so you could put your radio out of sight, and easily re-connect it.
To remove the cage, all you should need to do is pinch the cage at the top & bottom, and pry it out towards you. Careful about the plastic!
once the cage is out, there will be an antenna connector, two squarish black plastic connectors, and, depending on whether you have the Saab-Clarion EQ installed, another DIN cable or two.
Your replacement radio will use the antenna connector, and the two black plastic connectors. You'll get an adapter to go from the new radio to the car's connectors. Crutchfield sells them, I know. I presume others do to, but I can't help you with info on them.
