David,
After reading your old posts I have this question: Will the car roll? I suspect that your transaxle is locked up and that usually happens because they are driven with no oil in them or because the pinion bearings are so worn out that the mainshaft rolls way off center and various gear teeth go flying. With just one missing tooth from the ring or pinion gear the final drive can lock right up. Often such a car will roll a little bit forward or backward and then lock. It can then be rolled the other way a bit until it locks again. Does the transmission dipstick show any oil? With the car in neutral or the clutch disengaged jack up both front wheels and see if they roll freely. If you spin one wheel the other will spin in the opposite direction. That's how you'll find out whether this is a brake problem. Then, with a person on each side of the car, try to roll the wheels in the same direction at the same time. If you can't or they roll a bit and then lock you very likely have major gear damage. The next step is to look inside at the gears.
