Swapped boxes...no change, still base boost. Of course...i didnt read this stuff first...haha.
Hans posted the right link...those diagnostics are what im going to dig into next. Ive got my meter and pressure gauge handy...though...ill have to improvise with creating vacuum (venturi maybe?), so ill probably skip that stuff till last. I know i have a bad brake booster (well im pretty sure) so ill start with those switches, and move to the solenoid.

As for the comment about the white smoke...im fairly sure its not steam. It doesnt SMELL like steam, nor disperse like it. Im very familiar with this smell in cars, though since i havent had a vehicle that does it in so long...my brain doesnt tell me what it is. it is NOT a coolant smell....at ALL. Its sharper than that...

Here's something interesting. As stated i only run the best fuel i know of, so i recrimped the vacuum line off the wastegate to get boost back, and drove her for a day or so. No radio on, windows cracked to listen for the ping, and drove very sensibly...only getting on boost when i know i could hear ping...and i noticed two things.

First...absolutely no ping. Cool.
Second...theres been no smoke since i crimped those lines.

The car was sitting for 5 months before i drove it away...and when i first got in it had a crazy stumble. Two minutes under the hood reseating all the vacuum lines (that wouldnt burn me) and the stumble cleared RIGHT up. The notchy power steering got better (though not gone entirely) and the transmission smoothed up even. Maybe shes just stretching her legs...settling back into life...
