were me, I would buy a bottle of 3m 39007 Imperial Hand Glaze, to take care of the oxidation and make the white shine. I apply by hand, using something like a wash cloth, to simply get the stuff onto the surface area I want to work on. Then I immediately buff it off using a clean towel (microfiber?) following directions. DON'T let it dry! For the pine pitch, I know of no magic solution. Bug & Tar remover, pick at it with your fingernails? I don't use any machines. Then I apply 2 or 3 coats of Liquid Glass. Your choice. Nothing exotic or stupid expensive. Good luck! Vern
