Ugh. Dash lights, heated seats, and central locking.

I just bought a '93 900s, love it! But I am new at Saabs.
1. The heating control light dimmer knob feels really bad, and it doesn't adjust well at all. Could this knob have anything to do with my heated seats not working? Or the left dash illumination light not working?
2. Also, my heated seats do not work. Is there any plugs or cords I can start looking for?
3. Central locking only works sometimes, along with my cigarette lighter; I've checked fuses for these and the preceding problems, it doesn't seem to be the issue. Where can I check for central locking power?
4. My rear-hatch lock doesn't work, should I just rip the cover off of the catching mechanism for that? Whenever the central locking works, I do hear it try to lock the hatch.
5. Random question, my key was rotated severely at the middle (bent), and now it's back to normal, but there is a hairline fracture, can a regular key cutter make a new key, or will it come out all screwed up like the first? Is there any way a Saab dealer could look up my VIN and cut a new?
6. Also, my back speakers don't work...
When I first got the car, it stalled out on me and wouldn't start. We went through two alternators, and now it runs fine again. But the guy who was fixing it also checked some things behind the dash, as he thought that may have caused the problem. He said the dash panel I have has a lot of copper panels or contacts or something behind it, and that the copper had melted or fused in some locations. Could this bad dash panel be the culprit of any of these problems? Where would I go about getting a new panel?
Thanks so much for reading!!
