I just picked up one of these kind. It will fit in a c900 wheel well with a little modification. I had to grind off some of the top bracket to make it fit in the opening in the wheel well that the top of the spring is in. I also had to open it up and take out the large internal spring that returns it to the open position. With that spring in, you can only compress it about 3.5" which isn't enough to get the spring out. You can compress at least 5" with it removed. Bonus is that it's hydraulic which speeds up the process. Not as cheap as the screw type or even the HF kind (which I've used, but it's frustrating) but still affordable for the occasional DIYer.
