Blow-by is a bottom end condition - worn rings let combustion byproducts into the crankcase which then vents from the dipstick tube. Worn valve stem seals let oil into the combustion chambers which shows up as smoke from the exhaust pipe, usually during a warm startup where the car has been sitting for a short-ish period of time, or sometimes smoke while idling.
Everything you have described above sounds normal, no cause for alarm. There is rarely if ever evidence of a head gasket failure evident in the upper head, save maybe milky oil which you'd just as easily be able to see on the dipstick. Assuming you've not got milky oil or inexplicable coolant loss to indicate specifically a head gasket failure, a compression test followed by a leak down test will tell you pretty conclusively if you have head gasket or bottom end failure - have you done that?
