Thanks for the tips. I will keep these in mind and share pics of what I find, figure it is worth more in parts than the asking price, but it would be fun to get it back on the road. Mainly worried about the tranny as it sounds like the 8v is bullet proof for the most part, which is my main concern. Just want to keep running - less worried about speed. Also, it sounds like the rear swap on the brakes to vented is critical for the track. Do you know if it was 87 or 88 that they changed the rear? Got a line on an 87 vert that could be a great donor for both of my cars. Can see how this could quickly get out of control ..... The 80 will be vehicle #7 here.
