Dear friends,

I drive a '89 900 with automatic transmission. That old good BW37 was working with no serious problems for a long time, but a few days ago I noticed slipping in front gears. Rear works great, "stall speed test" passes for rear gear (approx. 2300RPM) and fails for the front.

I hope to get another BW37 in july in a good condition, but until that I am going to change ATF and do some other maintanance to my transmission without removing it from the car. I wonder if there is a list of the procedures that I can make without removing the transmission? The Benteley manual is very concise about automatic.

P.S. After 15+ years of driving with manual transmission and 2 years of automatic, I definitely do not want to switch back to manual (as I also own a '74 99 with 4-speed manual).
