Dear Sergey,
You can clean transmission body, do the cable and band adjustments, flush ATF and final drive oils and work around ATF cooler having the gearbox in-car. In your case you might be interested in ATF renewal and band adjustments, although checking cable adjustment is always a good idea (as well as keeping things clean, see #1). Unfortunately, Bentley only covers the cable adjustment and ATF flush so to get all the instructions and details on how bands-gears-clutches work and what should you do around them you might want either lurking on-line for 4.2 Automatic Transmission 86-92 Saab Service Manual (p/no 03 46 353) e.g. on that famous Zwer&Caligula FTP server, or checking all those ebays and craiglists for a hard copy (my second choice), or waiting for CMyles to chime in (that's my favourite choice).
I do have a hard copy of that manual, but I left it in Moscow, sorry. I moved further NW a year ago as you might have heard.
For the flush procedure feel free to use Ric's guide below. But to mess around bands and clutches you do need the service manual (or CMyles instructions, or better both) and a fine torque-wrench (iirc, of 5-25 nm or even 0.5-7.5 nm range).
Good luck,
Zig
