That was me that mentioned the switch connections along with the stupid pet trick ( hot cat syndrome ) for the wiring.
You may still have a slightly funky electrical portion of the ignition switch as fiddling with the contacts might be translating some movement inside the switch. Better get another one in case, but it will be a used one unless you saved one up as they are NLA.....
I've been chasing a wonky idle issue and focusing on the TPS. Though the connector looked OK, I took it off and snapped it back on a couple times, and all the sudden, the car acts like new again.......or was it fiddling witht the ELCD switch.....or the NTC connection??? I guess the point is they all matter.
