If it sits with coolant in the cylinders it's really tough on the cylinder walls. I'm in an area that requires emissions testing. The best Saab mechanic around would remove the cat and rinse it out right away. Coolant sitting in the cat will rob it of its catalytic capabilities. There was one Saab out here where post overheating the compression was less than 100 in the cylinders and it wouldn't restart. That was young gal who blew a hose and drove the car without coolant until it died. We presumed in that extreme case the rings had collapsed. We dropped another engine in that one.
