Did you use Permatex 518 to seal between the engine and trans? On my first trans install I used silicone. That was close to 15 years ago. It's still seeping oil between the engine and trans. I've used 518 since then without a problem. I coat both sides of the gasket even though Bentley seems to suggest you only need sealant at the ends. When I've separated what appears to be a virgin drive train I've seen a coating of brown colored sealant all over the top and bottom of the gasket. 518 on the engine to trans bolts. 518 on the flywheel to crank bolts. 518 on the slave to trans bolts.
