Two thoughts because I had this very issue yesterday:

Are you sure the battery is ok? TLDR; I had a similar issue and it was the battery even though the voltage showed 12.9V.

I ask about the battery's state because, just yesterday, I wrapped up the major work the auto->manual swap and was all set to fire it up. Turn the to the run key, all dash lights are on. Turn the key to start - nothing. No click. Nothing. Check voltage at ignition switch in run position- yes, 12.9V. Break out the Bentley. It's a pretty simple circuit. I pulled the yellow wire from the solenoid and checked for voltage with the key in the start position. 12.9V momentarily and then down to 8V. Threw a jump pack on it and the car fired right up. I need a new battery.

If the battery is not the issue, what about running a new wire from the ignition switch to the solenoid. It is a pretty easy run if the interior is already apart.
