I got mine for $50 a pair, and that's from Magnolia Hi-Fi, not known for their low prices. I'm sure there are others who can suggest different brands too, such as Polk or Infinity. Also you might check this site for some Blaupunkts, they generally make a good coaxial at good prices:
Looks like they have a good selection of 4", I'd recomend the PCXT402, RL4027, or ZL402 for a drop in coaxial, all $35 or less a pair. The VPC40 component setup would be significantly better than any of those, at only $50 for the whole setup (two woofers, two tweeters, two separate crossover boxes). A bit more work to put in, but well worth it in my opinion.
