My '94 has been great so far (one year). Keep in mind that this was SAAB's top of the line car in 1994. Part costs on a $42000 car can be breathtaking, especially if the car was abused (many aeros are, they just beg to be driven hard!). These cars also require maintenance. Frequent maintenance like changing spark plugs religiously every 10,000 miles, changing brake fluid/refrigerant/coolant ever 2 years and auto tranny fluid every 20k miles. Check that the first oil change was done on time and that subsequent changes were done on schedule. Also keep in mind that SAAB had been making the 9000 for 8 years before they made the '94; they had time to work the bugs out!
