I am so sad about my sweet 9000 who gave me several years of joy, from 90K to 150K. But this would be $4000 in six months, and I'm worried that with a long cross-country drive coming up it would be a bit too much.
I would love to sell her to someone who knows how to replace the tranny themselves... she is a good car. Engine is strong. Brand new rear brakes (Jan), fairly new clutch (1 yr). Interior is okay, not garaged quality, but fine -- especially the back seat, which was hardly used. The seat heaters still work (I'm addicted). And she's fast... but you know that already.
There are a couple of recent body issues that are fairly minor - replacing the driver's side mirror (stolen just before the tranny broke) and the front right side headlight assembly. Both seem like easy jobs although the parts are expensive from the dealer, probably way cheaper on your own though.
How would I sell this car? How much might it be worth? I know it's hard to tell without seeing it. There are a couple of dings on the body - having driven and parked in San Francisco for many years, that comes with the territory. Any advice you could give would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
