From today's J. D. Power & Associates newsletter:
Saab Cancels SUV Plans
Swedish Saab Cars has cancelled plans for a seven-passenger SUV due to
worries that development would cost too much and not generate enough
profits, according to The Wall Street Journal. The SUV was slated to debut
in late 2004. Saab officials were concerned that the popularity of SUVs may
fade by that time. Saab sales in the U.S. rose nearly 32% last month and
year-to-date sales are up 20%, according to the April J.D. Power and
Associates Sales Report.
